I have been a social worker practicing psychotherapy for 25 years. I have enjoyed working with a variety of people with many different experiences, both in clinic settings and in private practice. For the past 10 years I have been the director of an outpatient substance abuse treatment clinic. I enjoy helping people work through past trauma and find a way forward. I believe that therapy can benefit anyone who is curious about themselves and wants to improve their lives.
I work primarily with women who are navigating anxiety, stress, relationships, life transitions, or the effects of difficult experiences. You may be someone who thinks deeply and cares deeply, but finds yourself stuck in patterns you understand intellectually but have trouble changing. I bring warmth, curiosity, honesty, and a little humor to therapy. You don't need to have everything figured out before we begin. We can start with where you are and figure things out together.
As an art therapist, I believe that creative expression can be a helpful tool in communication, and offers an opportunity to gain a clearer understanding of our own experiences. I value interventions including somatic processing, IFS, CBT, ACT, and DBT. I now offer Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), a novel short term therapy to facilitate rapid change.
I specialize recovery from narcissistic relationship abuse, as well as anxiety and depression. I am a solution-focused, direct and experienced provider who believes in giving immediate feedback. I have been a clinical social worker for 24+ years and in private practice since 2007 and I look forward to working with you
I am a strengths-based, person-centered play-based therapist and consultant dedicated to the well-being of children and their grown-ups.
I use reflective guidance in my work with caregivers, and creative arts therapy and therapeutic play to connect with your littles and cultivate the conditions for transformation.
As an independently licensed clinical social worker, I believe in meeting people where they are. I am glad you made it here. I've been practicing for several years, having made the shift from community based work to telehealth a few years ago. I specialize in working with adults experiencing symptoms of Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, and ADHD.
Self-love is the idea that one must love oneself to achieve happiness and love from others. It always made me feel some type of way. To survive, we are forced to constantly grind; to hustle. If that wasn't enough, we face daily oppression, including racism, sexism, ableism, transphobia, homophobia, colorism, texturism, and more! Self-love seems more and more like a folk tale similar to the American Dream: a goal that was not created for people of the global majority.
I have both a Masters in Social Work and a Doctorate in Human Sexuality and have been practicing as a therapist for 10 years. The past four years I have been studying Bowen Family Systems theory. I find the combination of Bowen Theory with sex positivity greatly beneficial.
