Being in different specialties until this point drew me closer to understanding how and why people think the way they do and pushes me to be a uplifting person who strives to help everyone find the light at the end of the tunnel.

Hi, I'm Dr. Ruma Mian, a board-certified general psychiatrist and founder of Texas Triangle Adult Psychiatry. I believe every person is unique, and the best care begins by understanding your individual story. I have a diverse background in helping individuals struggling with depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, insomnia and other mental health conditions that are distressing. I aim to help individuals who feel overwhelmed, stuck, and may be struggling to find balance and transform turning points into new beginnings.

Please note: Texas Triangle provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and non-controlled medication management. I do not prescribe controlled substances (such as stimulants for ADHD or benzodiazepines for anxiety) to Texas Triangle patients at this time.

In addition to running a private clinic, I am also an Attending and Assistant Professor of Medicine at a local hospital in the Houston area. I completed my residency at the Carilion Clinic Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine.

Outside of medicine, my hobbies include enjoying the beautiful outdoors and riding my bike on a new trail.

Michael M. Zavala, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC is a Texas and New Mexico based Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner focused on holistic integrative psychiatry.

Dr. Anand Jayanti is a Board-Certified Psychiatrist with a passion for helping individuals and couples enhance their communication and emotional understanding. Born in India and raised throughout America, Dr. Jayanti's multicultural upbringing has deeply influenced his empathetic approach to psychiatry. As a child, he was often described as a "thinker," a trait that led him to channel his feelings through work. It was during his young adulthood that he realized the importance of not only thinking, but also openly expressing, a journey that continues to shape his professional and personal life. Dr. Jayanti earned his medical degree from Texas A&M College of Medicine and continued his training at The University of Texas at Austin. He completed his residency at the UT Health Science Center in Tyler and pursued a fellowship in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at UT Dell in Austin. Dr. Jayanti believes that improving communication is key to enhancing wellbeing in relationships. Throughout his life, he observed how misunderstandings between people often stemmed not from bad intentions but from a lack of tools and insights to understand and communicate their feelings. Dr. Jayanti sees patients struggling with relationships, marital issues, depression, anxiety, attention deficit, and trauma.
